Botox
What can I do with my frown lines?
Turn your frown upside
down with Botox! Botox improves the appearance of worry
lines and "crow's feet."
How does it work?
Botox works by relaxing tiny facial
muscles. A very small amount of Botox (botulinum toxin)
is injected into
the facial muscles to lessen the visible signs of
aging. No sedation of local anesthesia is required. You
may
have slight, temporary bruising of the skin at your
injection sites. Most people return to their regular
activities after their treatment.
What is botox?
Botox is actually the toxin responsible for botulism.
Over the past 15 years, this previously-feared substance
has been used successfully in medicine to treat numerous
conditions, including muscle spasm, tension headaches,
migraine headaches, hyperhidrosis, tortocolis, and
many other conditions. The key to the successful
use of Botox, was the discovery that only a minute fraction
of medicine is needed to treat someone medically.
What kind of results can I expect?
Results of Botox show that it can give you a more youthful
and refreshed appearance. Injections last from three
to six months; however, results from clinical trials
suggest that the duration of benefit increases with
time, so you may require fewer injections in the
future. Most people require four visits over the course
of
a year to obtain beautiful results.
